Job summary
The Market Development Specialist for Retail shall be responsible for the development of the retail business of Oleo-Fats. Retail Channel includes Modern Trade, Local Key Accounts, and General Trade.
What You’ll Do
- Achieve sales and gross profit targets by translating channel strategies into specific sales objectives, programs, and action plans.
- Develop and assess different business models, distribution strategies, product-to-channel mix, policies, and processes for effective product distribution.
- Support the implementation of sales activities to contribute to overall sales performance.
- Develop, improve, and ensure effective execution of programs for the Retail channel.
- Manage the profit and loss (P&L) of the Retail channel and develop programs to boost performance.
- Continuously improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the retail channel to drive profitable growth.
- Co-develop (with Marketing) marketing campaigns, Below-The-Line (BTL) and Trade programs to ensure reach and effective coverage.
- Manage OPEX and CAPEX of the sales channel.
- Build win-win business relationships with Retail partners to ensure product/service offering success.
- Co-develop (with Product Development) in-house or traded products suited for each retail segment.
- Regularly visit malls and retail outlets to check display, promotions, and overall trade marketing execution.

- General Trade: SSS, Wet Market, Mini Marts, Wholesalers
- Specialty Stores: Best Value, Healthy Options, Santi’s, etc.
What We’re Looking For:
- Must have Retail (Modern Trade) accounts management experience.
- Experience as a Distributor Specialist or with distributor management, particularly in industrial services or a similar fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) environment, is a strong plus.
- Well-versed in accounts buying processes, store-level operations, and store policies.
- Experience dealing with Merchandising Agencies and handling Merchandisers.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications for data analytics.
- Willingness to conduct field visits to retail locations for display and promotion checks (trade marketing).
