Quality Systems Internal Auditor

Job summary

The Quality Systems Internal Auditor conducts internal audits of the organization’s management systems to ensure compliance with relevant standards (e.g., IMS, Halal, FSSC, RSPO, SQMS). This role evaluates the effectiveness of implementation of management systems, identifies areas for improvement, and provides recommendations for continuous improvement.

What You’ll Do

  • Plan and execute internal audits for various management systems (IMS, Halal, FSSC, RSPO, SQMS) to ensure compliance with established standards and regulations.
  • Identify non-conformities and provide actionable recommendations for correction.
  • Collaborate with relevant departments to discuss audit findings and ensure timely corrective actions.
  • Assess the effectiveness of management systems in meeting organizational objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Document audit findings and prepare detailed audit reports with clear recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Perform follow-up audits to assess the effective implementation and sustainability of previous corrective actions.
  • Verify that the organization’s management systems are fully aligned with industry standards, regulations, and certifications.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in applicable regulations and standards and communicate these changes to relevant stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive internal audit plans and schedules that address key risk areas and cover all relevant departments and systems.
  • Collect and analyze data during internal audits to assess system effectiveness and identify improvements.
  • Communicate audit results to management, along with suggestions for improving system implementation and addressing non-conformities.
  • Continuously review system implementation and audit processes for efficiency and effectiveness.

What We’re Looking For

  • Educational Background: Graduate of a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Food Technology, or any related fields.
  • Certifications: Preferably certified as an ISO 9001 Lead Auditor or in another relevant ISO certification.
  • Work Experience:
    • At least two (2) years of experience in conducting internal or external audits of management systems (IMS, FSSC, Halal, etc.).
    • Thorough experience with different management systems, such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 22000, Halal, RSPO.
  • Exposure to food manufacturing environments.
  • Experience in root cause analysis, corrective action processes, addressing non-conformities, and implementing continuous improvement.
  • Skills & Competencies: Internal Auditing Expertise, Attention to Detail, Problem-Solving and Analysis, Report Writing and Communication Skills, Corrective Action Management, Time Management and Planning.
