General Objective of the Job
This Instrumentation Technician will conduct troubleshooting, calibration, installation and testing of instrumentation equipment to ensure accurate/reliable, and consistent data on manufacturing processes.
Duties and Responsibilities
A. Instrumentation Activities
- Performs walk through inspection on the plant process instrumentation and controls and informs. Maintenance Section Head / Maintenance Engineer any abnormalities observed.
- Performs job endorsed by the Maintenance Engineer and upon completion, have it checked by the Maintenance Section Head for final approval.
- Attends emergency repairs and schedules job request by analyzing malfunctioning process control and recommends action and conducts repair or modification as approved by Maintenance Section Head.
- Performs scheduled preventive maintenance on process instruments under the supervision of Maintenance Engineer.
- Records/logs in the maintenance logbook the completed activities during his shift.
- Maintains records of all process instruments and controls of the plant
- Ensures that the calibration of parameters gauges and controls are maintained based on the calibration master plan.
B. Compliance to Integrated Management System (IMS) and Good Housekeeping/ Manufacturing Practices (5s and GMP)
- Strictly follow Integrated Management System Policies (IMS).
- Strictly follow health and safety practices, company personnel policies and rules and regulations such as wearing of prescribed uniforms, use of required personal protective equipment and using appropriate tools / equipment in the performance of his work.
- Attends safety meeting/toolbox meeting regularly.
- Reports to superior any observed safety issues/hazards, unsafe act/s and condition/s and suggests correction.
- Follows good housekeeping (5S or GMP) practices both in his area and serviced production areas.
Qualifications
- Instrumentation and Control Engineering College Graduate or Undergraduate or Technical course graduate related to process instrumentation and control.
- Fresh Graduates are welcome to apply
- Minimum of two (2) years experience as industrial instrumentation technician
- With electrical knowledge in basic electrical and pneumatic controls.
- Working knowledge with different calibration/test and measurement instruments
- Able to use various kind of calibration equipment
- Ability to read and interpret process flow diagrams
- Experience in maintenance, troubleshooting and calibration of various type of process control instrument such as pressure gauge, temperature sensor, level & flow monitoring devices
- With NC2 Certifications
- Willing to work on site in Bagumbayan, Quezon City
