Job Summary
Civil Engineer (Cost and Contracts Engineer) position at LBL PRIME PROPERTIES INCORPORATED.
As a Civil Engineer, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Project Coordination & Management: Civil/Structural/Architectural works, MEPF works, budget and cost management, and commercial and financial tracking.
- Bidding & Procurement: Preparing tender documents, contracts, budgets, and bills of quantities. You will also handle material submissions, ordering, procurement, and supplier/subcontractor quotation and evaluation.
- Cost Analysis & Control:
- Reviewing building plans to prepare quantity needs and material costs.
- Creating price forecasts and conducting feasibility studies.
- Finding ways to reduce project costs while ensuring value for money.
- Measuring and valuing work done on-site.
- Carrying out monthly valuations of work in progress, including forecasting final costs and sales.
- Reporting & Communication: Preparing reports, analyzing financial data, and attending meetings regarding the cost and commercial aspects of work.
- Technical Tasks: Performing quantity take-offs, plan interpretation, and other Civil/Structural-related matters as assigned.
Skills
- Knowledge of preparing a Work Breakdown Structure.
- Strong report writing, costing, and financial analysis skills.
- Experience in bidding proposal preparations and analysis.
- Excellent mathematical, analytical, and communication skills.
Job Specifications
- Education: Graduate of BS Civil Engineering
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of related work experience in the design and construction industry.
- Experience in cost estimating, bidding, and reviewing construction plans and specifications.
- Must have experience in coordinating with Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) trades.
- Certification / Licensed Required: Registered Civil Engineer
