Job Summary:
We are seeking a Utilities Technician to provide on-the-floor response to operational issues, working closely with the engineering team and production. This role ensures immediate responses to deviations within the Electrical/Mechanical discipline, maintaining optimal performance of critical utility systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- System Operation & Maintenance: Assist in the operation and maintenance of various utility machines and equipment, including electrical systems, transformers, generator sets, SCADA, BMS, steam, water, compressed dry air, natural gas, HVAC, WTP, WWTP, PCW, boilers, and other electrical/mechanical devices.
- Maintenance Adherence: Ensure strict adherence to maintenance schedules and timely completion of activities.
- Inventory Management: Correspond proper use of inventory parts to ensure uninterrupted manufacturing operations.
- Safety & Compliance: Follow safety policies, food engineering design guidelines (FSSC, GMP, IMS, QEHS), and general housekeeping (6S).
- Calibration & Documentation: Manage calibration of assigned measuring instruments and update records, including SOPs.
- Troubleshooting & Repair: Perform root cause investigations for timely repairs, corrective and preventive actions, and general troubleshooting.
- Shift Work: Amendable to working on shifts or as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Education: Technical knowledge/Vocation Graduate in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electro-Mechanics discipline.
- Experience: At least one (1) year as a utilities technician from a food or industrial setting.
- Skills:
- Strong troubleshooting and repair skills.
- Knowledge of reporting and documentation.
- Ability to perform root cause investigations for timely repair.
- High level of integrity and ability to work collaboratively.
- Willing to render overtime if necessary.
- Hard working.
