Civil Engineer/Cost and Contracts

Job Description

Civil/Structural/Architectural works & MEPF works/Budget, Cost and Contract Management  / Commercial and Financial tracking/ Bidding and Procurement / Cost evaluations/ Project Coordination

  1. Prepares tender documents, contract, budget, bill of quantities and other related documents to be presented to the Site Engineers.
  2. Review building, construction or architectural plans and prepare quantity  needs and cost  of materials
  3. Create price/forecast of the cost of materials needed as well as feasibility studies
  4. Gather data and quantification to verify progress of accomplishments of the project
  5. Come up with ways to reduce overall cost of a project ensuring best value for money
  6. Measure and value work done on site
  7. Undergo quantity takeoff and plan interpretation
  8. Material submission, Ordering and Procurement
  9. Supplies/Subcontractor Quotation and Evaluation
  10. Carry out monthly valuation of work in progress including forecasting of final costs and sales

Qualifications

  1. Graduate of BS Civil Engineering
  2. With minimum 10 years related work experience in design and construction industry, with experience in Cost estimating, bidding, review of construction plans and specifications, must have experience in coordination with M&E trades
  3. Registered Civil Engineer
  4. Technical Skills:
    Knowledge  in preparation of Work Breakdown Structure
    Report writing
    Costing Preparation, Financial Report Analysis
    Proposal Analysis
    Bidding proposal preparations
  5. Strong Mathematical skills
  6. Analytical with Good communication Skills
