General Objective of the Job
Operations Associate reports directly to the Terminalling Supervisor I, who serves as the shift coordinator for day-to-day terminal operations, including receiving, storekeeping and dispatching at MP Terminal, as well as managing related services for road tankers and other service providers.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinates with the Quality Assurance Team for product sampling before storing of raw materials to ensure that all received products comply with standards specifications.
- Prepares a variance analysis report for inbound product movement to ensure variance is within the industrial allowable limit.
- Conduct line tracing with materials handlers in tank farm facility to ensure integrity of pipelines and prevent any risk of product contamination.
- Assigns storage tanks for receiving raw materials based on production needs and specification.
- Attend to dispatching operations, covering various activities such as in-plant scheduling of dispatches and receiving, storage tank nomination, weighing, pipe valve line-up, unloading, sealing and documentation of the products.
- Coordinate with production and other company affiliates regarding delivery status and the whereabouts of trucks.
- Conforms to GMP, sanitation, pest control 5S and safety standards and initiates improvements for repairs, pest control measures or disposes waste as deemed necessary.
Qualifications
- Graduate of any 4-year course
- At least one (1) year working experience warehousing, inventory and dispatching
- With exposure in logistics and terminalling services
